The awesome Liz from A Belle, A Bean, & A Chicago Dog is holding her annual Senior Hottie competition!
The premise: post pics of yourself from your senior year of high school, then some from present day. Judges will consider the entries and award prizes in the following categories:
- Hasn’t Changed Since High School
- Should Have Been Prom Queen
- Are you really the same person?
- Most likely to date Jake Ryan
- Senior Hottie Sweetheart (A catchall, “all around awesome” category)
So here goes … a dip into the photo archives. WARNING: big hair ahead!
Um, yeah. Hairspray much?
One last senior photo and then we’ll get to modern day.
Incidentally, a friend once told me, my freshman year of college (when my hair was at its all time biggest–yes, routinely bigger than what you see here), “Angie, you’re the only person I know whose hair is like a separate entity.” I said thank you. (The higher the hair, the closer to God, right?)
I still have a fondness for big hair, but with two kids, there’s no time for hot rollers anymore. Perhaps that’s a good thing. Here’s me, present day:

Personally, I think the addition of the hot husband is what really makes the picture.
Head on over to Liz’s place to see what looks other ladies in the blogosphere were rockin’ back in the day!

I think you are sooooo glamorous! Both then and now!
And the “Your hair is it’s own entity” is a mention that’s truly resume-worthy. In fact I think they have that as a “skill” on LinkedIn! 😉
Thanks so very much for joining in, Angie!!
Angie says
Why, thank you, Liz!
And I am so adding “able to fix hair so that it is a separate entity” to my resume. Or perhaps I’ll go with the simpler “fluent in big hair.”

I love big hair. Your hair, though no longer hot rolled, is gorgeous!
Angie says
Thanks, but you should see it right now. Just got back from a spin class. Hair is neither big nor gorgeous.

I especially like that your present day pix was taken in you mommymobile!

I love my swagger wagon! And seeing as I pretty much live in it, what better place for a picture?
Cameron says
I maybe hate you for being gorgeous then and stunning now.
Grumble. 😉
Angie says
Aww, Cam, you’re so…um, sweet.

I totally snorted at the “hot husband” comment. Heh. That color looks great on you! I love the hair – then and now 😉

Gorgeous! Then and now. And I’m insanely jealous of your gorgeous locks.

—You are still absoutely stunning
I’ve always quite liked BIG 80s Madonna Hair.
