Thank you, Daily Candy, for bringing us yet another installment of “Why didn’t I think of that?”
Today’s palm-to-the-forehead product is designed to temporarily alter your jeans, so you can wear them with both heels and flats. GENIUS.
These oh-so-simple tie-tack like rivets are called Hem Gems, and they allow you to temporarily shorten the hem of your jeans in a variety of ways. You can use them to shorten the pants yet maintain the look of the original hem (watch the video on the site to see what I’m talking about), to turn them under and simply shorten them, or to hold them up cuffed.
I’m so ticked off I didn’t think of this. If these things work, these are going to be a couple of extremely wealthy (and worshipped) ladies-turned-inventors. Every woman in the world has struggled with the need to have jeans that go with heels and jeans that go with flats. And since denim has gone couture, these little babies might save you a bunch of dough.
If any of you have tried Hem Gems, please comment and tell us how it worked out.

Yeah,I definitely need to know how those works. Because I? Am short and cheap. I do not want to hem all of my pants, especially for various heel lengths.
Thanks for enlightening me.
